So I finally talked Chris into taking the boat out. We haven't been since 2006. It is always too expensive...well that's just great. We decided to finally take it out and gas is twice the amount. I guess we shouldn't procrastinate.
We head out first thing in the morning and of course we actually don't have a cooler. Yes I know, we have 3 of everything. It just so happens that we actually got rid of a few. I know hard to believe, but one had a crack and the others lids broke off. So we stop at Wally World and end up getting snacks and a new Roley poley cooler. $80 bucks later we are on our way. (Teenagers are VERY expensive too feed).
We pick up the boat and are on our way up Parley's and Chris says..."I can hear the change shooting out of the tail pipe with all the fuel were using" Ha! Ha!
We ended up going to Rockport and of course Chris backs the truck in and it is my responsibility to start the boat and get it off the trailer. Yeah right!!!! Does anyone know how freakin hard it is to start a boat. For the love of god, I can't seem to figure it out. It's like that every time. And the kids know the face that he gives as he has to get out of the truck to help me. I die of embarrassment every time but then I look around at all the other boats and yep to my chagrin the other men are doing the exact same thing. It seems no female can start the boat today.
Oh does it feel good to have the wind in your face with the water splashing. Caity decides she wants to try water skiing. She actually did very well. A few falls but overall she did great. Ben on the other hand, did not want to do it. So what would every parent do but toss him in the water and away we go. For someone who didn't want to do it he ended getting up the first time. Little sucker. So after Ben and Caity go a few times, I decide to go. WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING. I have to say I did well. I was so afraid to fall , but ended up doing okay.
Later on Caity decided she wanted to go tubing so after about 30 minutes of blowing up the tube (by mouth) we head out. (We found the air pump later on) Hee Hee. So Caity goes first and as we all know her thumb was in the perpetual up position. Ben didn't want to go (surprise, surprise) so I said: "If you go, I'll go" BAD IDEA
All I will say is that I don't bounce like I did when I was 20. I swear to God my body was perpendicular to the water with my toes barely touching the surface of the water.
All in all we had a great time, even if the tailpipe was shooting out money.
BTW: I could barely walk the next day, as for the kids they bounced right back. No pain at all....Little Rascals

It's about time you posted a new entry. I saw pictures, pretty darn funny! I think you should do a series of pictures with you slowly flipping head-over-heels into the water, funny faces and all. I enjoyed them. Of course Dad says stuff like that, he's getting old and miserly, haha, just kidding; please don't disinherit me. Very cute and funny, I was cracking up over and over. Post pics of the jeep. Love you guys!
